Guin's Magic Crumble Topping

And up from the ground came a bubbling crude. Rhubarb, that is. It's in season don't you know. Sorry, no photo, but I'm sure you know what rhubarb looks like without another glistening photo close up.
Here it is chopped and tossed with sugar, cinnamon and chopped orange zest. Blueberries are optional. Maybe a toss of flour or corn starch to thicken things up a bit, but I'm going au naturel.
Add the fruit to a buttered dish, top with the crumble topping and bake until bubbly and brown.
Serve with ice cream.
Guin's Magic Crumble Topping
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 large egg

Mix together. The addition of oatmeal or nuts are optional. Drizzle with melted butter until you have a crumbly mix that holds together nicely. Divide evenly over fruit and bake.
